Jennifer going to war for a living

With Hallowe'en just around the corner, millions of us will be enjoying the scariest time of the year with a creepy movie.
However, Brookside veteran Jennifer Ellison admits she's a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to one classic chiller: The Silence of the Lambs.
"I was watching that the other night and it really, really scared me," she explained while promoting Febreze Light & Refresh candles.
"I had to run downstairs in the middle of the night to get a drink and I was absolutely petrified. I love Anthony Hopkins' performance in it though."
Ellison, who became a household name as Emily Shadwick in Brookside, is no stranger to appearing in horror films.
Apart from co-starring in a movie version of musical The Phantom of the Opera, she also starred in low budget British chiller The Cottage.
Her next major project will be the 2009 UK tour of musical The War Of The Worlds. That marks the 30th anniversary of Jeff Wayne's eerie epic based on HG Wells' tale of marauding Martians.
"I'm also doing The Vagina Monologues," Jennifer explains. "That's going to Liverpool and I'm doing panto with Cilla Black."
Cinderella opens at the Empire Theatre Liverpool on December 11. Following that, would Jennifer like to do more films?
"I'd love to do like a musical movie, like Phantom, just because I love to perform," she enthuses. I love
Silence of the Lambs! Scared me horribly the first time, though.
And I'd personally LOVE it if she did another musical movie.
