Former Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison is expecting her first child.

After weeks of rumours, the Liverpudlian star confirmed she is four months pregnant with fiancé Robbie Tickle.

While it will be Jennifer's first time for motherhood, semi-pro boxer Robbie has eight-year-old twin daughters Chloe and Sophie from a previous relationship.



The 26-year-old kept coy over her expanding belly at the gay wedding of hairdresser Gary Cockerill and TV presenter Phil Turner on August 9.

Wearing a floor-length black maxi dress, the expectant mother and Robbie sensibly left the wedding earlier than their celebrity pals, including Katie Price and Michelle Heaton.


Jennifer is adamant she doesn't want to know the baby's sex until it is born and is hoping to have a water birth.

The couple started dating in April 2008 and got engaged during a holiday in the Maldives last October.

But plans to wed this year have been put on hold after Jennifer discovered she was pregnant.

In an interview with OK! magazine, Jennifer admitted she's had a relatively smooth pregnancy so far and the only cravings she had is for cola.

The petite actress admitted she hasn't put any weight on since the pregnancy and actually has lost it because she's transformed her diet and stopped drinking.

She said: 'Before I was pregnant, I was just under 10 stone and I'm still just under that. With not drinking and eating healthily, it's come off my legs and bum.'

Jennifer admitted she started getting broody when she started dating Robbie and watching him with his young daughters.

The Hell's Kitchen winner said: 'I'd love a natural birth without pain relief.


'Rob wants to be really hands-on and see his baby being born - I want him to too.

'I'd love to get married next year but it just depends how much time the baby takes up.'

Jennifer's relationship with Robbie comes after a rocky seven-year relationship with businessman Tony Richardson.

After their spit in 2007, Jennifer admitted Tony had treated her badly and completed ruined her self-esteem.

She said: 'With Tony I was told I was ugly and fat – now I’m being told I’m gorgeous.'

Before meeting Tony, Jennifer was in a relationship with England footballer Steven Gerrard.

Coincidentally, Gerrard went on to marry nail technician Alex Curran, who dated Tony before Jennifer.

Awww Laura thanks a lot for posting the scans so soon!

So cute that they were actually trying for a baby and it happened so soon. I knew as soon as she was gaining weight that something was up. She's glowing though.

i knew it.

That makes two of us then! I knew as soon as her stage outfit in WOTW seemed to be getting bigger every time.

Just been reading the interview again and Jen says that they started trying in September and it happened the first month? How is that possible is she's only 4 months along. Surely she doesn't mean September last year? *confused*

That picture of Rob kissing her head is angelic. I'm happy for them.

It's stunning! Her bump looks quite big in that dress too.

I thought that as well maybe they misquoted her. She might of meant it happend in the first few months.

Oh my goodness, I'm so incredibly thrilled for her! I haven't had much time to follow the latest news on her lately, but I came across this news by accident and immediately rushed over here. How wonderful! I'm seriously smiling like a doofus while typing this. She's going to be such a wonderful mom.
